BuiltCo workshop privacy notice

This notice covers the BuiltCo workshop registration and participant application. BuiltCo uses your information to manage your workshop registration, provide your private participant account, and support your work with the instructor. Cookie and analytics choices on the separate BuiltCo.com marketing website may differ.

Information used

This includes your name and email, selected workshop, enrollment and attendance, payment or refund references, and access dates. Your private workshop records can include intake answers, health information you choose to provide, measurements, nutrition targets and their estimate sources, unapplied calculator edits, training records, and progress notes. Instructor notes may also relate to your workshop participation.

Who can access it

Your account is intended for your own records. Authorized BuiltCo instructors can review the information needed to teach and manage the workshop. Instructor access requires an authenticator in addition to email verification.

BuiltCo uses Cloudflare to serve the application and protect access, Supabase for accounts and database storage, Square to process checkout and refunds, and Resend for transactional email. The production database is hosted in the United States (Ohio); this does not mean every provider processes information only in Ohio. Square handles card entry; the BuiltCo application stores payment references and status rather than card numbers.

Messages and downloaded files

Workshop emails contain registration details and secure account or seat-offer links. Ordinary emails do not include your intake answers, measurements, or health notes. Do not reply with health information or sign-in codes. You control copies of plans and worksheets that you download, print, or share.

Access and retention

Participant application access lasts for the workshop's stated 60-day access period. Expiration of access does not immediately delete your records.

We retain private intake, measurements, progress, nutrition targets and estimate history, training records, and related instructor notes for 12 months after your workshop. You may request earlier deletion after we verify your identity. We check records linked to both original and transferred enrollments so that an old copy is not overlooked.

We retain financial records and the enrollment, refund, cancellation, transfer, and operational audit evidence needed to substantiate them for seven years, measured from the later relevant tax-return filing/due date or final transaction or dispute resolution. A documented legal, tax, insurance, or litigation hold may require longer retention. This separate business-record period does not extend routine retention of unrelated health or progress records.

Deletion requests receive an individual review. We preserve separately required business records while removing the private records covered by an approved request. Ending application access, cancelling enrollment, refunding a payment, deleting private records, and closing an account are separate actions; we will explain which you have requested before making an irreversible change. Backups may retain earlier copies until their normal rotation; any later restoration must honor previously completed deletion requests.

Requests and corrections

For access, correction, a copy of your records, a deletion request, or an appeal of a decision, contact miguel@builtco.com. Send only a short description of the request; do not include health records or sign-in codes in ordinary email. You may also make a request directly with Miguel at a workshop. BuiltCo will verify the requesting account before acting. We aim to resolve ordinary requests within 30 days and will explain any necessary extension or retained information. If you disagree with our decision, ask Miguel to reconsider through the same methods. Where applicable, you may also submit a privacy complaint to the Texas Attorney General.

Technical information and choices

Our providers process routine connection and session information, such as IP addresses and request times, to operate and protect the service. BuiltCo operator alerts use service failure counts and timing rather than private participant records. We do not use workshop health records for targeted advertising or sell them. Please review this notice before providing sensitive intake information; ask Miguel if you need clarification.

Security

BuiltCo restricts records by account and enrollment, validates important changes on the server, and keeps operational history. These controls reduce risk; no service can guarantee that every unauthorized access or loss will be prevented.
